Tate McRae's new album is finally here.
The 21-year-old singer dropped her long-awaited third album So Close To What, a 15-track project that includes collaborations with Flo Milli on "bloodonmyhands" and The Kid LAROI on "I know love." The record is a follow-up to her sophomore effort, 2023's Think Later.
In addition to the album, McRae also dropped the music video for her new song "Revolving door," capturing her dancing through a liminal space and unable to escape through any of the exits as a metaphor for how she feels in her life and career, according to a press release.
McRae, who is gearing up to hit the road on her Miss Possessive Tour, shared her excitement on Instagram for the album finally being out alongside a snippet from the "Revolving door" visuals, which she called one of her favorite videos. She also noted how the video itself represents the rest of the album.
"SO CLOSE TO WHAT IS OUT NOW 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟," she captioned the clip. "goooooo watch one of my favourite videos out now to my song revolving door <3 all 15 doors representing each track on the album. this video means so much to me. we put our blood sweat tears and 11 hours in these pumps into this video hahahah."
