These are 2023’s Best & Worst Cities for Football Fans

Super Bowl LVII is just days away and many of us are stocking the charcoal for our BBQs and polishing our big screens, but do you live in one of the best cities to be a football fan?

The geniuses over at the personal-finance website, WalletHub, released a "Super Bowl LVII By The Numbers" infographic along with 2023’s Best & Worst Cities for Football Fans.

Did you know that 62% of Americans consider themselves a fan or “somewhat” of a fan of pro football? And 54% considered themselves a fan of college football.

Well, WalletHub compared over 240 American cities to determine the best places for football lovers based on 21 key metrics. They used data everywhere from the number of NFL and college football teams, to each stadium's capacity, and even fan engagement.

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Green Bay, Wisconsin, and Dallas, Texas round out the top 3 best cities to be a fan of America's most beloved sport, while Detroit, Michigan, Clemson, South Carolina, and Chicago, Illinois were among the worst cities for fandom.
